I just dropped the parts off at Blaines. Four new pistons, all new bearings, crank polish, honing of the cylinders, new brass freeze plugs, hot vatted, inspection of the block all for $250....

I dropped it off an hour ago and he said it would be ready Wednesday afternoon.....

Man I'm sorry to hear that, Cliff.  I know you love Fords, BUT It seems to me they blow up a lot.  I guess that's the reason I'm going back to Bowtie.
Hope you have better luck with the rebuild.

you have to be smarter than the average bear  :smile30:

I'll pick the motor up tomorrow and start assembling ASAP. Hope to be on the lake for a test on Sunday.

That's great news man. Hopefully this will take care of the problems. I can honestly say that the reliability of my Hawaiian has made it easy to love this hobby. It was a rocky start, but after the first week it has been great since. And I wouldn't chock up my Sanger motor letting go because of being a Ford! Those valves can drop in any brand! It was operator error, and that's why the boat now has a T-valve! :smile30:

Thanks Steve my issues were never. "Ford thing" they were all "bone head Cliff mistakes". Lol.

For my boat to still run 50mph with four cylinders compression about 80 psi and the other four at 150 psi, I'd say the Ford was doing pretty darn good!!

It's still winter time in Kansas and Mo., but Galen may still be closer to being ready than many.
