OK,  so i missed on the 30w,  but i use a blend with lucus.....OH YEAH  :smile17:

Your Lucas blend is probably right on the money. The maintenance PDF from Berkeley says they put in 45x outboard lower unit oil from the factory.

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN YOUR JET BOAT. MARIA IS LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING VICTORIA AGAIN TOO.

I'm gonna "make a pass" and "shoot a roost" on Sunday. Lol. First thing Jacob asked me is if it can shoot a rooster tail. Lol.

That diverter worked good Sat. night.  His daughter worked he diverter handle and it moved very easy. Your kids are definately gonna love it.

Devilman, thanks a million for the tip off about this boat. By this time tomorrow, if all goes well, she should be latched up to the back of my truck heading northward.

Last Mohican. Thanks for the offer. I plan on being at Ticky Creek ramp about 12-1 pm on Sunday, not sure at this moment. Though I've grown up around and have owned boats all my life, I have never owned or driven a jet boat with a hot foot before so I'm thinking it will take a little getting used too. As for the reliability, I'm like you........it'll take a while before I'm confident in her reliability. Nothing against the prior owner, it's just that if you don't KNOW a boat, you just don't KNOW her....hope that makes sense.

Blazeracer brings up a great point in another post considering grease/oil in the bowl. The jet is a Berkley and I see two zerks installed on it. How can you tell the amount of grease/oil is in it? Thanks.

I'm sure I'll have 1,000's of "New Guy" questions....so stand by. Lol.  :smile27:

See ya!

You're welcome, glad everything worked out! You may wanna get somebody else to drive home after you pick it up, you'll be looking at your new boat in the rearview mirror way too much to focus on driving. lol, j/k

Know what you mean about your comments on "knowing" the boat, makes sense. And there's lots of folks around here that can (or will try to) answer any questions you may have should something come up. As far as the pump is concerned, remember that Duane (Duanehydro) just went through it for Matt recently, so he'd be the one to ask as far as whats in it for lube be it grease or oil.

Good luck on your maiden voyage with it, you're gonna have a blast! :smile16:

Well, she's mine!! I picked her up in Sequin this evening. No sooner did I get on I-35 at San Marcos when my left rear tire on my truck blew out!! Man, what an experience that was. I was on the side of I-35 at night changing a flat. Phew.

Anyway, I got 'er done and made it to Waco for the night. After my meeting tomorrow morning, I'll continue north to McKinney.

For some reason this site won't let me upload pictures from my iPhone so I'll post some pictures when I get on my home PC.

Dang Cliff

you got all the luck. Sorry to hear about the truck tire. At least it wasn't on the new Boat. That would be my kind of luck.

Sure was good to meet you and being able to sit down and visit for awhile. Wish we would of had more time. I'm going to have to drag the old yellow water wheel chair up North and come play around with all you guys up there one of these days. Glad you made it to Waco safe even if you did have to change a tire.

Richard

I knew you were going to be dragging her home with ya. Told you she was a pretty nice ride
