You Ford guys are like sardines.  Scared, quiet and hiding when you are alone. Loud, flashy and obnoxious when your schooling

Matt, Jacob was quite adamit about those graphics, I guess they are part of his generation lol, he's almost 9.

Kona, the Blue Ovals haven't let me down yet and I hope that with this BBF, that the outstanding Ford reputation still holds. Lol. Nothing personal to you Chebby guys.  :smile26:

That did crack me up, as offbase as it may be.... :cheesy: Truth be told, only sardines I ever saw reminded me of Chevys: clustered together all in a group, dead, quiet, & cold... lol

Cookieman, that Yamadog has only let me down one time and it was because of a hairbrain mistake I made. We had that Whaler loaded down when I took you guys to the ramp. When I got back to the beach, all the guys told me that she was sitting VERY low in the water. Did you notice that those water cops didn't mess with us?? They know Whalers rock. Lol.

Matt, I can't talk a whole lotta smack yet as I've yet to even take the Crusader out yet. However once I do put her through "sea trials" I'll either sit back quietly or come back with a huge Sh-- eatin' grin on my face. Lol.

Kona- I concur!! Lol.

But what about that 40 hp Yammahammer 2 stroke.......it did have a nice putt putt sound and didn't smoke that much. Yes we did have that boat loaded with 5 adults which did make it ride alittle low.

Cookieman. I plan on keeping the whaler for another year or two. Both my kids are very interested in learning how to skipper the Whaler. I learned on a 13' whaler when I was a kid so it's perfect for them as well. I think the Crusader would be a little big for them right now.  :smile27:

Hey Cliff, having just bought my first jet boat this summer, if the first ride in my Glastron is any indicator, it will be grin regardless if the motor is Ford or Chevy. It's the jet that makes the difference and gives you that hold onto you shorts ride you can't get from a prop.

That's my .02

LOL.  Touche.  I knew I left an opening.  I just figured someone would use the schooling Ford's angle.  I never thought about the dead sardine angle. :grin:

I'm gonna try and get her somehow while I'm in Waco. The owner said that Waco was too far for him to drive with his kiddo's on a Wednesday and I certainly can relate to that. Maybe he'll meet me in Austin, I'll call him tomorrow and find out. I'd rather spend most of the day on Sunday in lavon.

have ya ever noticed its usually a bunch of chebbys against 1 or 2 fords, thats cause the chebbys have to combine all their horsepower between them to beat the 1 ford

A true Ford guy is quiet because he knows how hard they run, doesn't have to mouth off about it and lets the boat do the talking. Show me one chevy motor that you can take to a 557 cid without having to grind the hell out of the block and then come talk to me

It doesn't matter what brand it is

If it's built right it'll fly :smile28:

Blue Oval rocks!

The Crusader is the perfect boat for my family. It's roomy, is Ford powered, Berkely jet and it's yellow. Those were all the requirements that I wanted in a jet and so far, it has met them.

Thanks a million for the support. I'm going to try and take a 1/2 day off from work tomorrow and scoot down to Sequin and drag this baby home. My business trip to Waco may fizzle out so my plan B is to deadhead down there and then drive back in one day.

Thank you Kona. If all goes well, I am planning on going to Plowmans this year. I won't get there until Saturday evening though so I'll miss all the craziness of Saturday however I'll be there for Sunday.

Hope to meet you soon.
