Dude , don't cry about it . We have all missed deadlines , that's why I refuse to make them. It's like a curse . Look through all the build threads , mine , tints , any of them . You set the bar waaaayyyy too high to begin with . I doubt you really pissed any one off , it just didn't happen .
Not crying just responding.  I'm pissed but not at anyone here more at myself so just letting out my frustration with myself.  Setting too high a goal not really I could have gotten it done had everything fallen into place.  Seems like I keep getting speed bumps (pardonthe pun) driving me off course.  I'll see ya'll later i'll talk less and do more from now on.

Nothing ever "falls into place" . You gotta beat it into place with a sledge hammer  :smile30:
well usually with me I can make it fall into place just have had a lot of road blocks on all my projects thats pissing me off cause I hate spinning wheels and all i see right now is smoke.  I have a trans inmy moms truck being a b!tch already gone through it 3 times, Chopper is stalled because I can't seem to get the tank sealing properly, neighbors truck has been a major pain on the engine replacement and fit, New bike I picked up for cheap transportation ison hold cause the ignition box is fried, and to top it all off the CJ isn't done.  So there you have it thats my frustrations and to top it off wife is on me about finishing her porch and now I am working three jobs to bring in the cheddar oh and add that shit hit the fan at my main job.  Yeah am I a little on edge yes.  Every trip to the junkyard is turning into a 2-6 hr waste of time cause I can't find what I need.  Can I just scream I wish I could so yeah i let a little of it out here.  I am so ready to get out on the water and do something.  I need to go for a long ride on the bike and just cruise or take the CJ for a ride witht he waves splashing up.  I can't do it and yeah its getting to me.  As much as you all want me to get this thing done I want to be done with it already ten times more.  It will get there I know that and its keeping me sane but I am ready to just take a hammer to something.

You know the problem CJ? You set a deadline, not a goal. As a hobbyist you will NEVER make a deadline. Even as a professional with a shop it's hard to make a deadline. The goal is a running boat, that's all. It'll get on the water when it's ready, but you can always shut the nay sayers with progress pics.

89 page thread still not running.. LOL

Well the goal is always been there, the deadline was to get me there faster.  yeah I didn't make the deadline but it's closer now than it was in May.  I refuse to let another season go by before this boat gets on the water.  It will get out on the water to at least one event this season that's my goal.  It just might be tawak though.

X2 what James said....a few pics will shut everyone up, including myself, ......that way we know you're not blowing smoke. No sense in getting emotional about it.....the job will get done when the job is done.

A few pictures, with advice tips and products used is typically what a "Project thread" is all about...... I think you have about five pages of good information in this thread and the last pictures being posted on page 31 of 38 pages to date...... with the rest of the pages full of excuses as to why you're not completing the project. Where's the pictures or narrative of how you installed in the stringers? Poured the foam? The transom? secured the deck into place? What about your wiring? Gauges? Engine build progress? Without much information given at all, we're all left to think that progress has not been made.....but who knows.

That's what a build thread is all about....progress made, lessons learned and advise to others. Ya, I know there have been some derailments in this thread...my own build thread was derailed a few times but I consistently updated it with pictures, progress and lessons learned.

No one wants to see you fail.......and everyone wants to see you succeed and get her out on the water.

CJ I don't know how many times I have posted on this site, "This weekend I'll be at the ramp, tuning my new motor." And the closest I have made it is TO the ramp. Thats as far as I got, Partial list of things that went wrong include.  fuel regulators quit,  starter fried, hole in piston, and rod through the side of the block.  The latest reason for not making the ramp, the Heads wont be ready because machinist went on vacation.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger when it comes to getting side tracked on your projects.  If it was easy, our wives would be doing it.

Just kidding girls! :smile30:

Yeah I understand that, Jim  good thing you have a backup.  I wish I could have gotten my wife to understand that and let me keep the old boat until this one got on the water.  That's probably most of my trouble though this is my passion not hers and not the kids.  I don't sing Calgon take me away I sing a totally different tune usually to an exhaust note.

If I left it up to my wife it would be in the dumpster right now.

Duane Rib all ya want I ain't pissed at any of ya'll just myself.  I had a great time out at BCR and really upset the CJ wont be at RTC looks like its going to be a bigger bash than BCR was.  If you get to the point were you need a hand with the motor I'll be glad to lend a hand.  maybe thats my real problem I can't help myself from helping other people and always put myself and my stuff on the back burner.

See there you go maybe someone has the set you need on a shelf.

That's the bad thing about running a Chrysler in this group no one has extra parts lying around.  And I am n my own regarding performance and knowledge.  Good thing I have a lifetime of Chrysler performance knowledge and almost the same in spare parts.  I just wish I was still into the more recent performance parts may not be scrounging for the stuff I need.

BTW everyone just ignore my rants they are nothing more than that a stupid whining crybaby rant that needed to get out before i exploded.  I need to get a junk car i can take a sledge hammer to until I can get a bike or a boat done to relax and cruise.

You got a 118 page thread around here somewhere too . Painted the boat . Broke the Ford . Broke another Ford . Broke another Ford . Finally wised up and went Gm . Now I need a fuel tank . Oh shit now I got to replace rubrail . This thing is gonna fly if I can just get the tune right .

It seems like very few of these things ever go the way we hope , but mine will be on the water in the next few days . Then I will start on the TX19 and another LS conversion .
