I am not even sure I will still have the Kona come time for tawakoni . At some point I will end up selling it to pay for the TX19 project . What I want to do to the motor in the TX is going to cost as much as the  kona did in all . Not to mention that I really don't need two boats , I am doing good to get time to use one .
Get ready for another 100 plus build thread  :smile20:

Last TEN pages of Project X have a total of 3 pics, all from MAY.. Now this thread is a full page longer without CJ even logging on!! LOLOL  crazy.gif

You gonna bring the Kona to Tawak? Hey CJ, running or not bring your boat to Tawak. I'll tow it to the beach so we can party on. At least get the pump in so it will hold water.
LOL maybe I'll just not cut out the hole for the pump in the transom and plug the intake up and hang an outboard off the back. :smile28:

JK Well I have somethings planned with the Scouts they are looking forward to that include using the boat in the coming months so It has to be ready for tawak.  With the second job should be able to put the money needed to finish her up.  Going to try to get the motor buttoned up this weekend all except the intake but planning on starting on the fab on that too.  With any luck may be able to see if this motor will run on the stand in not too much time.

The motor isn't going to do you any good if the boat isn't ready for it.....

Are the stringers, transom and floor back in the boat? Did you put the cap back on it yet?

All BS aside.. as long as that cap has been off the hull in the sun in south texas heat.. do you think it is going to go back on? I think and this is just my .02 that it is never going to go back on like it came off. The hull is going to have so many hooks in it now from sitting un suported for what a year now? I truly do wish you all the luck on this build.
This is a CJ only project and that is all that matters if no one else like your sled/planter box than that is thier our problem.

The hull should be fine its fully supported under neath with multiple rails like a trailer actually mine are better than the trailer they are wider supported better and more than are on the trailer.  I took painstaking time to make sure it was level and straight when I was doing it.  I guess we will find out if I screwed the pooch.  I do appreciate all the advice just because I don't take some of it hope no one is offended.  I am going to do what I am going to do even sometimes inspite of myself and my and everyones better judgement.

The sides have been unsuported for a long time. I would think that it opend way up? I am not saying it is junk now just that you are going to have a $hit pile of work getting it back together. The sides of the boat need the deck on for strength. I think that you will need a bunch of muscle and hands to get it back in line to accept the cap.

The sides are real flimsy and I have had them tied with string across and cris crossed which that I measured crisscrossed to make sure it was squared.  Also leveled it too.  I think I spent more time trying to figure out how to make it properly supported and squared up than I have with anything else.  Again I may be wrong in what I did and may have screwed it up time will only tell.  I hope I didn't screw it up. Thanks for looking out for me Stu
