Looks like you can only seat two people on board. No wonder you want to stretch it
Actually looks like that one is missing the wrap around seat or its just hard to see in this pic.  That just extra seating room for those lucky enough to get their tops blown off.  The seating in mine is very similar to how Dmans avenger is setup just change the drivers position.

I could fit more people in my 16' trihull but then this one is way cooler and that one was an outboard (still a Chrysler Outboard)

nah, doesn't seem like he'd get pissed? He did say that he was gonna buckle down & get some sh!t done around the place so he could make some progress on the boat. Which is good idea, I could stand to do that myself... :cheesy:

(I'm saying that as I slowly back away from the keyboard...)

Nah was at Boy Scout camp for a week with the boys.  Spent most of the week driving the ski boat teaching boys how to water ski and wakeboard.  It was a blast wish I would have had the CJ ready and taken it as would have been more fun.  That Ski Nautique topped out at 39 with 6 people on board including myself driving and another adult spotter.  I would like to think the CJ would have done better than that.  Anyways now that the week of camping in the heat is over its back to working on the CJ.  I had to dive in the lake to check out the prop on the ski boat the water was 96 degrees when i did that.  The water in Lake Bastrop hit 99.5 at the end of that day.  WOW!!!

I did get a sailing lesson on Friday and it was pretty cool.  Went sailing in a small boat on my own and its sweet being able to control your speed but adjusting the sail and kool when you get full speed almost kept up with a 6hp motor boat that was out there being tested out after we rebuilt it that week,

So here is a little bit of a status on this thing and my current conundrum.

The crack I found in the pump housing originally is much worse than I first thought.
Here is how I first found it.

It looks like it doesn't go all the way through but I figured out that inside piece is the wear ring.

Here are a few more shots showing the more extensive extent of the issue.

So two things to deal with now how to remove the impeller and wear ring and how to repair the crack.  Since it is not on the pressure side its only on the intake (suction) side I am thinking it might not be a huge issue as long as I can get it to seal and not allow air to come into the intake and water to seep into the boat.  If thats the case might be able to tack it up from the inside and use the epoxy to help seal and hold it.

Here are a few shots of the impeller and wear ring

I appreciate all the thoughts.

I'd replace it, but if that's not an option with it being a chrysler and all, either shell out some $$$$ to have a pro fix it, or fix it like you plan and run it till it blows. Then swap it out for a Berk. I think you're real limited on this one bud.

I know where there is one just haven't gotten a response on the price yet.  I might find a way to fix it temporarily until I can get a replacement.  Either with the epoxy fix or grinding and welding it up.
