Galen and Billy are both running strong.
Congratulation to both of them, they both looked good.

Billy may have been a little surprised how strong Galen's boat runs, but he's not used to being in the passenger seat.

The GPS reading of 119  is for Galen's Boat not mine . I could only get 110 out of mine Saturday , I am very happy . I met my speed goal for this years, now it can be a trailer queen ..
That is trhe fastest I have been on water is when I was with Galen in his Hydro .. Had a great time Saturday ..

Look how smooth that water is , it was that way 95% of the time we were there Saturday , excellent water for playing

That was the first thing I noticed. Is that normal for that lake?

It all depend on the wind direction . if the wind is from the South like it was Saturday . It is like this , but it it blows from the North , it can gets bad ..  Of course no wind,  it will nice also , but it sure gets hot with no wind at all ..

If it is Bad at Steel Creek , we can go North about 8-10 miles to Plowman Crek Park  and it will be smooth in Plowman Creek unless it is blowing from the South .. But we can get  some complaints in there for noise  ..

  there were a few other boats out there (a couple of pontoons and a couple of family boats) but they tended to stay out of the way, but the biggest challenge was once the jetskis came out they tore up the water quite a bit which made it hard to make passes and when they did I know they were worried the jetskis would get in their way.  I know when I take the carlson out there for the first time i am going to be worried about that.  I don't think JJ was worried about it in his big old lake cruiser though.  Jim sat at the other end for the better part of half an hour waiting to make one pass though.  I think he maybe made 3 runs the entire day.
Galen raced out in front of a pontoon and family boat in order to make a pass before their wake affected his run.

I remember two years ago at Tawak, you came zipping by me while I was floating out in the cove sipping on some cold ones....you looked good back then (your boat that is, lol).

What we do is normall go there after a big Holiday weekend . Most people are too tired , too broke and just do not want to go back to the lake .. So we normally have the place to ourselve .. We normally go about a mile from the ramp and hang out
That way we are away from the ramp traffic .. Yeah the jet ski played some , but overall it was not bad ..

Sounds like a pretty cool place. If I can get mine done sometime this century that is one of the places I want to try. Just have to be sure the pontoon boat is there though, because that is the only boat it looks like I will be able to keep up with!!!!

That is our ( My Dad and Mine ) Pontoon Boat , Not sure you can keep up with it . It will do an ebay speed of about 82 mph ( actual speed 22 mph ) .. LOL
