Ya, I'll be there next Wednesday....without a boat though. Just not enough daylight left in the day to go all the way to storage, grab the boat and drive it back south again and still get some time out on the water.

After listening to Kirby and Chad it sounds like the ramps are really no longer safely usable.  Kirby and Chad both said the ramp at Collin ends way before that piece of pipe sticking up.  Chad said he had a hard time launching at Avalon on Tuesday and he would not use that ramp again.  I think Kirby backed off the Collin ramp.  As he was leaving last night he said several times that he would not be back on Lavon with his boat until we get some rain.  To be clear I did not check the ramp myself.  Just regurgitating what I heard from those guys last night.

It's a pain in the a$$ at collin but Sunday at Avalon wasn't that bad for my small boat but there was some bigger boats having trouble.

Chad said he stood on the end of the ramp at Avalon while his helper backed the truck down.  With his back trailer tire at the end of the ramp he was able to launch and load but it really was not deep enough.  He said it was a real PITA to get the boat off and on.  Hubbard anyone???

Hubbard or an early Winterization is in order.

I heard from some different shaky sources (old men sitting around at the gas station types) that this dry spell isn't expected to snap until September 2012.... if that's the case, Lavon will probably from another 10 feet without any substantial rain....

Hey, maybe we can blame this drought on Obama?

Hubbards sounds great.....but we are heading up to the Red River to ride ATV's this Sunday......hope y'all have a great time and I'll see ya next wednesday.

I can do noon as long as Dawn feels better.  So far today she is feeling better but still not herself.  I vote for the cove over by Captain's Cove marina.  What ramp is everyone going to use?

Guess ill put in there too. My mom"s surgery isnt scheduled until Tuesday and Hubbard isnt too far from the hospital if im needed so looks like im in!
