What style blade did you use to cut the plates, or did you send them out to a machine shop.  I'm having trouble finding blades that wont gaul up cutting aluminum.

A friend cut them out on a bandsaw.

no testing for me tomorrow! Turns out transom plates cut for a dominator dont fit a Berk. The clean out cover is taller and needs the opening in the top covered so it can be sealed. There is a good size gap in a few spots on the sides where the dominator is bigger.

Whatcha gonna do with those for the dominator pump?  :smile16: My handhole cover is about in the center of the transom.

OK Thanks, If you talk to him ask him what blade he used, I found as used band saw for 69.00 and I will need to order blades for it.

I had them welded up and reworked them to fit. I have a tight pump with an aluminum A impeller now! I'm testing tomorrow.

So you made it over to EO Saturday ?? He told me you talked to him Friday . I went by his shop Friday on the way home and paid on the small block in there .. How did it work ???

Well I'm going to see EO again this morning. When I picked up the impeller and wear ring he told me the side clearance was a little tight. I should have let him turn the impeller a little because it got too tight when after wear ring was installed because after about 10min of cruising out on the lake the side of the impeller stuck to the wear ring. Wear ring is fine, impeller not so much.
