Actually I have a very good steering system, However it is a short rudder.  I am changing to rudder to a longer one and thinking about going to a dual rudder.  At speed you do steer left to keep it straight. You have to just be at a crawl to turn it and it takes a large space at that.  Just the nature of the beast.

And Duane I know what you mean, my intent was not to diss anybody either or even a location. Like Coonass sez, "I ain't say'n, I'm just say'n..."

Hell I am ready to get back on the river & put myself in harm's way right now. Crappy weather aside of course.... :laugh:

I also do not blame the location I love going down there.  I just did not use good judgement for a run at that speed.  Again I tought I had tested well enough at slower speeds, but just goes to show you cannot be safe enough.  Over kill your safety concerns then you might be OK.  I have no one or place to blame but myself for my accident.

Good point. God forbid I get chastised by "Sensitive Sally" again.....lol.

As long as I don't get accused of editing posts when I didn't edit them, it's all good! Lol.
