JJ is the man when it come to machine work .. It suck that he is not in the Dallas area any more . Long drive out to Covington , but will worth it ..

No love from Greenville or Purvis. A&W did not have it in stock but they are getting it in for me. Should be there by 1:00.

Still no bueno. I can put the wear ring in an out completely by hand. It's too loose. The impeller will not fit on the shaft. The shaft is bigger than the hole in the impeller. I could fix the impeller with a brake hone but the wear ring is a deal breaker. Hopefully a traditional wear ring will work. I'll get this headed back your way shortly Duane. Thanks for letting me try it.

Made a little progress today. EO had a wear ring that worked with the impeller and the housing. At this moment the pump is on the bench assembled with the B from Duane and the wear ring from EO. With any luck I'll put it in tomorrow and test on Saturday or Sunday depending on the wind.

Thanks guys. Pump is back in the boat. I am going to try and hit the lake around 9:30 or 10:00 in the morning. We'll see what time I get motivated and what the wind is forecast to do. It also depends on if anyone else can show up. I don't want to go it alone in case there is a problem. I don't expect any but better safe than sorry.

I'll let you know when I'm heading out. I'll probably put in at East Fork tomorrow. Do some tuning in the cove there then take 25-30 mph cruise by the dam, then back over toward Collin Park. I want to take that motor on a long run and put some heat deep in it. Then get chow at the resturaunt on the water over there. I'm gonna bring my timing light and vacuum gauge and see if I can't get that Demon dialed in right. Bobby got it pretty close, but it's still has a little hesitation when I nail it.

I don't think I'm going to hit the water today. I really need to wet sand and polish the paint inside the gunwhales so I can get the carpet laid down and the rest of the interior installed. Probably hit Pebble Beach tomorrow though. Looking forward to seeing your results though. I'll that ole Poncho will bust 65 easy with a B, if not more.
