Point is $300 for fri and Saturday can have up to 4 rv's it is right on beach. Call office @903-356-2125 for reservations

She feels it is the best spot they have and if 4 family's with rv's split it then it wouldn't be so bad. But yeah I wouldnt pay that by myself for sure! Sid Anderson is who had it the last 2yrs and he cancelled so now it's available

If someone wants a different RV spot it's near that high. And the others are first come first serve.
OK -JULY 26, 27, & 28 is getting closer...real fast for the 3rd Annual Tawakoni Hot Boat Regatta. Cabins at 429 RV Marina are all reserved. They have a few RV spots left in the park but none on the water-unless someone cancels. If you want to camp on the hill, it is $15.00 a night and you can run a generator. The hill has no hook ups.
"IMPORTANT PART"
Please pass the word to any and all boat drivers that you know who are coming to please try to make the drivers meeting. It is Saturday morning at 10:30am . If you are staying in a hotel or at Sunset please do your best to be there also. At that time 429 RV Marina will be giving all drivers and family members a wrist band so you can come and go (in and out of the park) the whole weekend. (DEFINITION-family members means wife, son, daughter, or husband. NOT cousins, aunts, and uncles and so on- y’all get the idea.) This will let the 429 RV Marina know you are with the Regatta Boat group. Anyone else wanting to enjoy the Regatta’s atmosphere will be charged $10.00 a PERSON at the gate, and they will get a wrist band. That wrist band will also allow them to get into 429 RV Marina at night to see the live concerts, friends, or other fun they desire - even if you are staying somewhere other than 429 RV Marina.
Friday night there is a concert. It will be from 8 to 11pm. The name of the band is EAST OF AZLE.
Sunset Resort cabins are also pretty well booked. Sunset Resort has a few RV hook ups left. If you are looking to stay in a hotel Greenville or Terrell are the closest towns. If you are staying at 429 or Sunset they wanted me to remind everyone that all Cabins and RV spots must me paid in full 10 days prior to event.
"BOAT Ramps"
As far as boat ramps it will be like the first year. YES we will have a nice Beach area (not sure about the BBQ sandwich girl!). Do to the water being low, there are 2 ramps you
can use. One ramp is off HWY 751 across from Sunset Resort.This ramp is a
free launch. The other one is at the north end of the bridge at Marina Del Ray. The fee is $5.00 to launch from Del Ray.
Shopping for last minute needs???- there is a Walmart, and Brookshires as well as a few restaurants located in Quinlan. For the needy there is also an Orielly's Auto Part and Auto Zone.

Ok folks, a little suggestion.
Under the Definition of FAMILY, your significant other, friend with benefits or your driver doesn't count.
Several suggestions. You can say your friend with benefits is your wife, but that's one of the steps of a common law marriage, so be careful.
Or, each of you can show up at the meeting and get your own wrist band or whatever the ID might be.
I assume whoever shows up at the drivers meeting will be OK. Is that a fair assumption?
Honestly, if you paid the $10.00 a day for the ability to gather on their property it would still be cheap entertainment.
It would probably be the cheapest thing you spend your money on for the outing.
I guess it would get you 2 1/2 gallons of unleaded or 1 gallon of race gas.

So...after reading the last few pages, I'm a bit lost.
What's this drivers meeting stuff? I was planning on just showing up early Sat. morning, having a goo dtime on the water, and then going home Sat. afternoon/night...is it not that simple?
I thought this was just a big get together...am I mistaken?

Thxs Disturbed just as he said it just a saftey speach and kinda give everyone heads up and Gary Miller local Game Warden say his speach and ansewer ? if anyone has any. The Game Warden are on our side for this event and every weekend we are on the lake. If you cant make the drivers meeting thats ok WE understand you as some others are driving a long distance. Just ask and just about anyone can fill you in what was said. As far as launching if you want to pay to use a ramp and have slips. Use Marina Del Ray. If you want to use public boat ramp its across from Sunset Resort. Marina Del Ray in at opposite end of bridge on same side.

Thanks. I found 429 Marina on the map, I guess it's a whole point? I don't know if you guys are gonna be on the north, south, or east end...but hopefully as I get closer I'll be able to see.
Can you launch at 429 Marina? Or do I just need to go on to a different ramp (like one of the two you mentioned)? I looked for Marina Del Ray, but the map shows it quite a bit inland...so I guess I'll just find it when I get there...and is Sunset the same as 429 Marina?

The first year , we use the boat ramp just past the 429 marina where 429 and 751 connects .. Going on 429 turn left on 751 and the ramp will be just before the bridge .. That is the one we used .. It is just a single lane ramp though, so be patient ..
Try this map .. Top right corner you will see it ..Right at the Bridge .. Launch and go under brindg and they will be to the left , but stay out in the middle until you get past the bridge for a ways .. 429 Marina will be back just about a mile on 429 from that intersection

Yes it was a steep ramp .. The line did move pretty good while we were there also ..
