My boat GPS'd at 54 and it's a blast. Total pride with my 10yr old son driving.

Nothing wrong with that, right inline with the hull's intended use. Texas Tunnels are a whole 'nother animal. Super quick drag boats that have quite a legacy behind them.

Hammer, i'm kinda getting x-cited about this build, hull needs stringers and paint, that aint no scarry house, i bought a 01 LS1 vette engine to go in it, need a jetaway, zoomies and jetovator. It has a split bowl berk with a stuffer in it, trailer is nice. I'm not sure i want to sell it. i'll photo bucket some pics soon. andy

Thats the boat Im thinking it is as well.  Hey Andy there is a guy that runs on twak has a narrow cock pit tx 19 and his is center steer.  But he has a bench seat behind center front seat.  Kinda like on outboard allison boats do.  He said he did it that way so he could take the wife or friend and a cooler and it would be leveled out.  Just and idea for ya.  If its the shrek boat that boat use to sit in forney Tx in a shop for years.  Im not expert by no means but I would try to keep it center steer.  Good luck with build or sale which ever you choose.  I use to have a earl smith tx 18 exact same boat as Ken sr loved it sold it to eric and we dont talk about what happen to it then  :smile18:

FOR SALE
NEEDS A NEW HOME.
I have a jet boat that works fine. I'm thinking about the hours this project is going to take and am having second thought.
so far i have removed everything except the intake housing. I have cut open the stringers and cleaned them out. It will need front bulkhead replaced, stringers, gunwhale supports and balsa core in places. the center balsa is great.

I have for this boat: original steering system, seat and mount, t style fuel tank, setback berk pump with split bowl and transom plates.

I paid $1200 i'd like to get $1200.

I got a 01 vette LS1 67k miles perfect engine for this, it has MSD coils and AFR heads on it. I need $3K for the motor.

anyone interested?  PM me or call 214-674-4857 Andy Vestal
