Holley to rich at idle

If you have a power valve you need to see what size you need using a vacuum gauge cuz it sounds like a motor that likes 40 degrees of timing probably has a cam that lacks in the vacuum department, need specs to speculate  :evil:

Kdub, It liked the timing there for balls to the wall running! Vacum ran at idle anywhere from 11.5 to 14 inches! That was depending on the idlemixture screw setting! I backed it down to 36* and put a fresh tune and pulled 13.5 at idle and had damn good vacum throughout RPM range!  WT :smile20:

A set of stainless valves should be in any motor put in a performance boat. Good luck with the new mill.
