I am almost ready . Just need to pack a few more things for the day trip . I think the boat is ready , switched carbs , put in some C-114 fuel , charged the battery and she busted off , so maybe the boat is ready ..The truck already has the EZ Up , chairs , barrel of fuel and a whole lot of grap I most likely will not need .. Sure hope that 1250 dominator going to run good for Saturday .. If not , I will sit and watch
Galen left Liberty Kansas mid morning and should be here Thursday sometime .. Then JJ and him will finish his boat Friday morning and hopefully we will drop it in the water Friday afternoon for the mayden voyage .. If all goes well , it will see some run time at Tawokoni Saturday .. I can't wait to see him in that Hydro , we will not be able to get that grin off of his face ..
damn after galen and paul run their hydros it is gonna make me want to up the power in mine :smile13: :smile13: :smile13:
We will be testing Galen's Hydro , it has a brand new 3 blade Tom Bentley Hydro prop on it now and we do not know how it will take the set .. We took off a 2 blade flatbottom prop . Might bring it also to try , it was on the boat when Galen got it .. Large diameter. I do not remember the exact size , but i tried it on my flat and it lifted the tail way to much for my flat .. This is an inboard steering boat , so we will be taking it easy until we know excatly how it will handle ..The previous owner had a blown engine , a Reher morrison engine and a twin turbo engine in at differents times , and ran it pretty fast with no problems
So I am assuming on a Hydro you move the prop back and forth to help the boat take the set on the sponsons. ?? This is going to be weird to ride in a Hydro and when the tail blows not to let off the gas ..
