What lake is that draining into?
Not sure how Far up North the water is coming from, The River enters Lake Buchanan (Tow TX.) at the Very North end of the Lake, From there it Sickles through LBJ, Travis, Austin, then heads South from there without any other Lakes and enters the GOM.

Does Mathis fall into that area of potential runoff or is it tied to a different system. Be nice to get some water down there too.

Mathis is one of those forgotten waterways.  Wish we could redirect some water to it would be nice to go to jetfest.

Best I can Tell D-Man, is that Mathis Primary Supply is Choke Canyon, and Choke gets its Water from the Water sheds West of San Antonio, I dont know how much Rain they got out that way.

Well when Canyon Lake and Medina Lake start going up more than likely Choke and Mathis will get some water too.  All those feed from the area northwest of San Antonio.  I know we got a ton of rain Sunday and Monday but not sure how much actually came in west of us.  I know there was no worry of flooding from the river.

Mathis gets water from the Nueces river, Atascosa river and last from the Frio river thru Choke Canyon. But Choke is not giving up anything. The primary is the 1st 2 mentioned. And yes all comes from west of San Antonio. As of now Mathis is at 80.39' which is 14' low. Mathis being a shollow lake that is a lot. A few months ago it was at 77' and I have never seen it that low before. In 2001 it was down at about 81' and had a gulley washer come in just before Jetfest weekend and it filled up full to 94' in just a few days. We need another one of those.
