Several THB members came by and introduced themselves.  Glad to meet all of you and shake your hand.  Saw several more out along river  bank also. 

We had an abbreviated weekend.  Rod sticking through pan after first run Saturday.  Not good! laid down a 9:51 @111 mph.  Then rod let go on next run.

we need to get gears and prop changed out and to maximize boat potential. now need to rebuild engine too! Hope block is not hurt!

Jim back home in Abilene cleaning up the mess.  Just sent me another pic of damage. Said alum in bottom of boat also.  looks like maybe just hope to salvage block out of deal!

Expensive weekend for him.

That is going to be bad when they pull the pan .. I felt sorry for Jim when we where there visiting and he showed me that big hole in the oil pan .. The boat sounded good and we could not tell it broke when he went by the finish line ..

Maybe it did not hurt the heads or the block ..

Man sucks to have that happen but at least it doesn't appear to be any worse.  Keep us posted on the details as they come around.

Throw some jb weld on it go again. Honestly that SUCKS!! Hope it didn't do much damage in there.

That is funny , because that exactly what I told him at the track .. It is going to be bad . just look how bad that rod is burnt .. He still drove it to the out ramp ..

Found the 2ND stage nitrous had come unplugged.  This is alcohol motor and nitrous is injected was C16......... So when second stage kicked in C16 only was injected.  Washed down and diluted oil and lost bearings.  Hammered #3 bent rod and all turned to crap after that.

New crank, new piston, set of Oliver rods and new bearings and should be OK as block not hurt. Jim plans to replace cam with one more suited for VDrive.

Expensive but learning weekend.

I am glad Jim found the problem .. I knew it would not take Jim long to tear into it and find the damage..

Jim just need to make more power and take that nitrous off ..

She was running a little too wet in that shot .. Up a couple of flats and try again .. That would help his slip also to get the boat freed up some more ..
