Well without the hole and a freed up pump. A hole like that can cause all kinds of trouble for a hull though and he was worried about one with cracks down the stringer. Since I am assuming that happened on the water that hole will get a lot bigger in order to repair it because of delam in the fiberglass because of water intrusion. It pretty much makes that hull worthless and that along with the frozen pump he got screwed and needs to justify it to dump it off on someone else. Hell I knew my boat was crap when I boat it but it was in better shape than that boat and its rarer than that boat. I paid only $250 for mine and I prolly over paid. Whats the Scrap metal weight of a typical trailer? That's about all that is worth.Devilman said:Somebody has been blowing smoke up that dudes azz. Gullwings are a great boat, have an excellent reputation & a long history. But its not like they are rare or that hard to find. And by no means is that a slam on gullwings, it definitely be one of my choices if I didn't have mine.
If it didn't have that big fukking hole in it, he'd probably get $3K for it pretty easy.

Me I could fix it up and work with it but not at that price. I would grind out 12" alll around that hole to make sure there was no delam and then epoxy in new cloth for strength. The pump I know nothing about so would be a learning experience. Any one have any ideas on what is most likely wrong? Bearings? Impeller? And how hard is it to repair or is it non fixable and needs another pump? Trailer he calls it a POS but that's probably the bulk of the value in that setup. Unless its rusted out its rebuildable.
Anyways my 2 cents or a cup of weak coffee whichever you prefer

Just messin man, lol...
Good to know the story everytime someone buys it figures out it's gonna cost more to fix it than they thought it goes back up for sale with a higer price and eventually someone ends up with a very expensive piece of crap. The fact that he bought it in the first place for $2,900 tells me he is crazy.gif. I paid $250 for mine trailer included and its in better shape than that one and that's cause the guy wanted $450 when I went to go see it. Looking back I should have offered him $200 but whats another $50. Something that needs that much work really needs to be sold for the scrap value which only really applies to the trailer and pump since fiberglass scrap actually costs money. I have bought cars and boats for thier scrap value. One example when I had my trihull and was having motor issues I found someone selling a pretty much worthless boat with a worthless trailer and a Merc 115 on it. No idea the condition of the 115 guy needed it out of his yard had the title it was his brother in laws and the guy just left it there. I went to look at it and all the wiring on the motor needed to be replaced but there was the nice piece of aluminum plate 3/8" thick and about 12" x 60" on the back to keep the motor from completely busting the transom. He wanted something like $200 or $250. I figured the aluminum was worth $50-100. I offered him $100 he turned it down. 6 months later same bought back on craigslist for $50 i call the guy and go pick it up. That was also about the same time I got the Jet so I no longer needed it but it was worth the price for scrap. I sold the motor for $300, the galvanized trailer for $180 and gave away the boat but did deliver it for $50. Oh and I kept the big aluminum plate, a smaller plate from the inside and a bunch of the hardware like the stainless rod holders. I think it was a good deal. The people that took the boat were going to use it at their house for their kids to play in part sand box part playground toy.WAFOBABY said:Let me tell yall this hate to kill this guys Sale but I could have bought this boat last year for 1000.00 buck a good friend of mine bought it for 900.00 over in REDOAK tx the same night it came up on craigslist. YES Bobby aka MOTORHEAD causin did some trading out and ended up with the boat and the this guy bought it from him the way it sits for 2900.00 so he says. The trailer is CRASHED it was in a bad wreck and JACK knifed and thats were the hole in the boat came from as well. And as far as the pump there is NO rock or rope stuck in it turned for me just not very easy of course it would and Im sure anyone on here buying it would go threw the pump anyways. I have been all over this boat and looked at every part of it 1 year ago. Not sure what your offer was to him But I flat out told him I know the story on it and he was crazy.gif and I would give him 1000.00 and not a penny MORE He tried to tell me I wouldnt find another TRUE YOUNGBLOOD for that price and I told him well My Dad bought one for 500.00 bucks with GOOD tandom trailer and title. DOnt get me wrong it would make a nice ride but NOT FOR what he is asking. The dude thinks he is sitting on a pot of GOLD. Just thought I would kinda tell the story of the boat of what I know of it
