jump.gif OK. ATTENTION. THE BOXES ARE ON WAY. clap.gif The shipping was a real challenge, but we got it done.
I have attached the reciepts on what was spent on the purchases and the shipping. We took in $ 450.00 and spent $ 487.21 including shipping.
This was made possible by members of THB, The law firm of Pope, Hardwick, Christie, Schell, Kelly and Ray, Walmart Hurst Tx, and Gene Mckenzie of Quality Carriers. We are greatful to all that donated. There were a couple of donations that were last minute that were just in time. It took planning and shopping and we feel like we were sucessful in this undertaking. We are planning another drive to send smaller boxes of hygeine and goodies for Christmas. I hope we will be successful again.

:smile18: WELL THE MAIL IS REALLY SLOW GOING OVER SEAS. I have not received any word on the boxes yet. We have not heard from jason either. It has been about a week. I know they are very busy. I knew the boxes were going to take longer because of size and weight. I really hoped they would have been there by now. I hope to report good news and have some pictures soon. Thank you and Happy Thanks Giving.

We are also waiting to receive pictures and letters on the items that have been received. We are shipping more boxes tomorrow of goodies and other items to the combat out posts. They will be there before Christmas. sorry for the delay but the process is slow. Thank you all for the support.

Update on care package for the troops. Here is a email that was sent to me from Jason (Nitro Neils son). You guys just don't know how much those care packages meant to the troops over there. Classification: UNCLASSIFIED

I am writing this email on behalf of allthe Soldiers and NCO's
of E FSC, 1-41 INF, 3/1 AD, alot of the soldier out here dont have
internet much to send out thank you notes or email and due to the fact
that the COPS get attacked on a daily basis it is easier for me to sit
down and write this thank you email.
The soldiers really enjoyed the care packages, and to able to
get blankets, pillows and sheets for our already not the best beds,
rally made their day. One indivdual quotes "This is one of the most
unique care packages he has ever received"(SGT Kohring) theses care
packages that you all put together for my battle buddies out here was
probably the most biggest morale booster anyone has ever seen, and
knowing that me and my family and friends were able to come together and
provide much needed essentials to these Soldiers that dont have access
to the things that I do really cheered me up and even now as i write
this is bringing tears of joy and happiness to me.
First off Bill and Cindy, I want to personally thank you for all
that you have done for my battle buddies and I also want to thank Texas
Hot Boaters for all their hard work and dedication to help out our
fellow troops. My battle buddies want to thank you from the bottom of
their hearts for the warmth and generousity that you guys and Texas Hot
Boats has broght to them. You have really done a lot to boost their
morale and:

jump.gif jump.gif jump.gif THANK YOU FOR POSTING THE EMAIL. THERE IS SOME GREAT NEWS. THE 3RD BOX MADE IT ALONG WITH THE OTHER 3 BOXES THAT WERE MEANT TO GET THERE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. THEY RECEIVED THE MISSING 3RD BOX AND PUT ON A BIRD THIS MORNING AROUND 0600 TO GO TO THE COP THAT HAD RECEIVED THEIR BOX. THE OTHER BOXES ARE THERE ALSO AND BEING SENT TO THE COP'S. THANK YOU ALL. I KNOW THEY APPRECIATE THE GENEROCITY. WE WILL BE RECEIVING MORE PICTURES AND THERE SHOULD BE MAIL COMING.
