You have enough clear on it to be able to sand it again ? How much clear did you put on it when you painted it ? I am doing 2 gallons on mine , hopefully that will be enough to get a good sand and buff to get all the trash out of the paint from not using a booth .

Spd-I painted the boat in stages...it was cleared twice,so theres plenty of material to sand and buff. :smile17: Its only been done once and since then i've crawled all over it now for 2 seasons!Dupont clear is tough stuff.

Thats what I am using , Dupont paint and clear . Did you wet sand and buff within a day or two , or let it cure for awhile then do it ? I have heard it is alot easier to wet sand if you dont wait too long to do it , but have not talked to many people who have used the Dupont .

So i got a set of tanks from my bud trickpaint. I had to frame up some mounts...
and glass them in-turned out great and steady! :smile15:
painted black-but it'll all be covered by the doorpanels! :smile15:
tomorrow I'll do the other side! :smile16:

The 498 is running great but i'm starting a new engine build with the mantra donor 598 ci...i'm gathering up stuff and hopefully my engine builder will not drag ass around! Here's my tall deck dart w 2 1050s and fogger kit.Its run what ya brung, so i'm gonna be bringin a lil more! :smile16:
