Assuming Welchfest 09 is still on?

I haven't been here in a while, so just checking in.  I got almost all the parts to put my boat together, just need a few more small things and then I can put the motor in the boat!  Picked up the motor last weekend from the machine shop.  Kinda broke at the moment so need to work a few weeks to get the rest of the money together for the few parts I need.  Motor cost me $2500 just to do the bottom end!  yikes!  I didn't expect it to be so much, but I got a brand new crank and good parts so hopefully it will be good to go.  I don't want to have to pull it back out of the boat except in the case I decide I want more motor.

Still August 22nd right?  Hope the lake doesn't get much lower, maybe we will get some rain soon.....

Isn't Yegua just down a little ways from Rocky Creek?  :grin: May be the place to go next time around, they did have a pretty decent beach for hanging out & swimming there....

Carole made some last week when we went to the river, some of 'em were Everclear, some of them were Hot Damn, some of them Vodka, some of them peach schnapps..... Damn, now gotta see if she was gonna make them again. :grin:

these were made with apple pucker and then last week she mixed grape and cherry jello with some kinda pucker and they were great... so i am going to make some for welch fest.. and i am bringing a water melon..  the weekend after welch is blendermans b-day.. so maybe he can celebrate it that weekend with all of you guys and gals.........i carried a watermelon.....lol :smile20:

We had an Everclear watermelon at the river as well.... Let it marinate for 3 days... :smile13:


Another thing I heard of recently was Cherry Bombs..... Just get a jar of maraschino cherries, dump out about half the juice & replace with Everclear & let 'em soak in the fridge. :smile20: May have to try that out. :grin:
