Heck ya, sounds like a fantastic place and a great time!!!

Typically Cookieman, Duanehydro, EOSpeed and a few other guys are the main event coordinators.

This place could easily take Plowmans place for an event.

I was looking at your post from July not long ago and wondering how it was coming down there.  I noticed the website was gone so I figured it did not work out.  I'm glad to hear you are still kicking.  Hopefully someone will step up and organize an event down there for us.  I know Bill (Cookieman) was talking about coming out and checking the place out.  Pictures sure would help.

This Place could be the next Plowman's. I know it could be a little ways for some to come to but look how far some people came to Plowman's. Who knows maybe we could get some of the west Texas guys to show up. I know that it's about an 1 1/2 from Granbury. I have talked to new owner and he sounds really serious about us coming out for an event. I know I have talked to a people who want to go check it out this spring. I have also talked to the new owner and told him if an event was to take place it would have to be in tha same time frame as Plowman's was which would be first weekend in Oct. We want the regular boat traffic to be amost none. So I guess we have a place and a new owner which is really wanting us there. I guess this spring a few of us will have to check it out. Let's keep this guy in mind as to what he has to offer us. Sounds good to me. Let me hear what some of you guys think about Lake Brownwood.

I have some cabana style cabins. Only have four of them right now. There is a hotel on the lake also . I am probly going to have at least 5 rv travel trailers that are set up at the beach already - i will be renting them out as cabins also. They will be the fema style traielrs.

Can you put a boat in the water with one of these??

We're thinking about a motor home for all the weekend long trips we hope to make this summer. Lake Brownwood would be on the list.

It's about a 3 hour drive for me coming in from Mckinney. Well worth the trip I'm sure.

EDIT: Actually it's a 3 hr 54min drive for us.

That's why I'm thinking motor home is the way to go. But can a motor home put a boat in the water without flooding the inside or generator compartment?

I would think so.  I'd be more worried about having room to maneuver with something that big.  If the ramp is like plowman's there would be no way.  If not there will be others there with trucks.

That what I was thinking. There will be other there with trucks. Shoot, if someone else wanted to stay the weekend, we'd probably have room too..

if you get the boat to the park - we will be gald to get it into the wate rfor you . I will tell you this i know for sure - the boat ramp is 180 feet long and is about twenty feet wide - its very gentle sloping.you can see were your g\oing the who;le way down and back up the ramp. I will have pics of all this up tomarrow on the website. Trust me guys - If yall want to have a season starter then yall just tell me what weekend or day and i will have everything ready. I have icetruck drop off the ice and the band stage set up for a little entertainment after the days event. May even get a small cookoff set up at same time so we would have some good grub to go with it. Yall just tell me waht yall need and want and i will do whatever we gotta do.
