yeah it'll be a good time to let that Olds run til it blows so I can put the 501 in over the winter ...
ran it hard Sunday 4800-5200 for about 10 minutes with no problems so it should be loose enough now to either blow or go ........ :grin:

Good i would like to see the olds run! sounds like its running pretty good turning that A 5200.

forgot about the motel's in greenville, but will be bringing my tent,  just need a place to plug up my coffee pot. old fart's need there coffee fixe's.  :smile27:

We will just make patch make our coffee Paul since his cabin comes with one LOL!

Rain  here again today 1"    Bobby I will go to Greenville tomorrow and call ya and tell what hotels are in greenville so you can post it on the first post so they will know.  Guess everyone is going to defend for themselfs as far as food goes..  No body has really said.  Guess most will be on a LIQUID DIET  :grin:

I am thinking about  swinging  by the lake this Friday about 1:00 PM on my way to Tyler to check the park out . Might take a few pictures while I am there ,, I just want to put my eyes on the park and the water so I can visualize what will happen ..

Wish i could commet on being there all weekend . I would love too , but it still may be just a day trip for me ..

Just tell who ever is in the office your with the boat event in October. They will show you around. We will all be at the east end where the small cabins are.

A freind of mine is a pro photographer. Should I invite her out with a model or two? What did guys pay for the "model on the hood" pics at Plowmans last year?

Well, she's a pro and will want to get paid if there's enough interest. Could probably have her bring two girls Saturday afternoon. That's why I need to know what guys paid at Plowmans, so I can shoot her and offer.

I am pretty sure it was free to have your boat photographed with the model at Plowmans.

Free to get it photographed, $$$ to actually get the photos. I though Kurt said he's paid like $40 or something, but I could be wrong.

Ok, if there interest in pro photos, I'll invite her out and she can charge whatever her rate is.

FYI:  Just a heads up the 429 marina owner asked if we could not crank or run our boats until after 8am.  For respect for the folks that live in the park full time and the Big homes that are kinda behind the marina.  Im sure some of us wont even see 8am due to the night before.  :grin:

Also anyone that is coming and doesnt have a cabin and doenst want to stay in a tent.  There is a Hampton Inn,  Holiday Inn,  and Best Western in  Greenville Tx its only about 15 to 20 min from the marina.

James you going to have a boat up and going by then ?

That is good information to know about the 8:00 am noise limit.. I was wondering about that , since there are a lot of RV spots there and I am sure they do not want a lot of noise... I am one of the few that like to make the morning wake up runs when the water is nice and smooth and the air temp is still down .. So that should work out good for me since I will be driving in that morning from Granbury and will get there about  8:30 - 9:00 am.. 

As far as the model goes from Plowman , Bret Bayne from Performance Boating Magazine was the one that hired her to come out for the day .. I am not sure what that cost him .. It was a flat rate for the whole day ..

The guy at the office at 429 told me their is 5 grills down by the small cabins and I will be bringing mine. I'll see if I can get a few more out there. He also said he has 3-4 travel trailers that he will let rent for $75 a night but we can't reserve them until the week before because he rents them out by the month and they maybe rented.
