Tawakoni Hot Boat Regatta Oct 5-7, 2012

the guys that put on tawakoni, and maud and every other outlaw event that i have been to have been on their game as far as safety, they have driver's meetings and look out for one another at their events, like said before last year at tawakoni the local fire department which is basically across the street from 429 marina were there all weekend, and supported everyone fantastically, same at wright patman. these guys aint just hayseeds putting on a show and shine .

Nothing pissed anyone off and nothing taken wrong way WE will take any suggestion.  Sometimes things get overlooked and need other eyes.    Knotty I sure hope we have more boats brotha.,  I will take some pic of what it looks like as of this weekend and see if I can get someone to post them for me for some damn reason I cant ever get a pic to post.  we can use the boat ramp at 429 and also the other one everyone used last year so wont be so  CRAZY at the Ramp  hurry.gif  COME ON  OCT !

Here are some pics from this weekend to give yall an idea of whats it looks like this year at        429 Marina    where our boats are its about knee deep.  you can also see the lawn chairs as well in sec pic.  From seawall out its all sandy bottom.    hurry.gif five more weeks  jump.gif.

Yea Patch they have water LOL .  GOOD thing for the boats but Im not sure what they are going to do with all the peaple that they expect to have out for that weekend just to watch but I guess they will figure it out.  As far as the HOT BOAT group its going to be a PARTY !!! jump.gif


Well been thinking and trying to figure out a  way and who would want to sit out on the starting end and flag and make sure all is clear for the heavy hitters.  Just not sure who will do it.  SO telling EVERYONE if it comes down to it and the conditions are RIGHT for them to run safe I will get out there myself and FLAG them.  Be nice if we had two jet ski to cut the path just before they made a pass. Just to make sure there are no rollers they can be hard to see running west in the afternoon. And I dont think running west to east is a good idea this year being that on east side of 429 is a new RV park as well.  And they said they are going to have folks sitting on the shore line and it wont give everyone much shut down room.    But we can go more into detail at drivers meeting SAT Morning at 10 30 a.m.  OR if anyone decides they want to do it or knows someone that will, let ME or MOTORHEAD know Thxs see yall there.

I am bringing my jet skis so we can use them if needed and I will bring my standup too so I will have them available.

That will be great Randy be nice to have one to run down the course before the BIG BOYS and BIG Chief make a pass to break the wake.

I was first on waiting list they called today with opening I am staying next door at the Sunset in a cabin so who ever needs one call now I will call in morning and tell them not interested.

Been so long since you put gas in the old blue ski boat you forgot I don't use AV fuel...just high Octane reg. gas!!
