Lake is low, I saw talk of a low water ramp, maybe its that. Used to launch/retrieve off an oyster shell beach at the river back in the day if you didn't want to wait for the ramp. Launching was ok, retrieval sometimes not so much. :cheesy:

It's the very top of a cement ramp that was constructed there prior to them raising the lake in the 70's. Though the truck is on the sand, the trailer is on a cement ramp. We used this ramp at the end of the 2011 season a few times......worked out pretty good.

The issue is that the lake isn't rising or lowering. The lake is at that point where the water is too low for the newer ramps but not quite low enough for the low water ramp....kind of a catch 22....

That's what was going on here. Guy was trying to recover a pontoon with a non 4wd. Once his tires got to the gravel at the top of the ramp he was stuck. All the jet boats and fishing boats had no trouble at all on that ramp.

Gonna be about 70 degrees with the wind out of the south on Sunday. Will be a the power plant Little Ridge park at about 1pm to try out the new cam and maybe make a couple of nitrous hits if all the parts come in on time.

Donnie called me today. I posted up MAYBE a lake test on Saturday if I get the cam in Saturday is a maybe for Ray Hubbard.

Sunday is FOR SURE at Lavon's Little Ridge Park for a few cold beers with friends. I'll have my boat. If it's too windy it may stay on the trailer.

We had an awesome day at the boat ramp yesterday!  Nice seeing everyone.  Temp was perfect, though I must admit it was a bit on the windy side...
A special thanks to Donnie & everyone who brought the fajita sides~!  Very tasty~!
Even busted out the RC cars since we were stuck on land!    Glad ur camera is ok James~!!!

Got the mount fixed too for like under a quarter. This Sunday, any ideas? I think we'll be mid to upper 60's and low to no wind. Here's the weekend forcast. Not going to Houston so we'll be here..

Gonna be pretty nice out again this Sunday so we'll be testing the "Pass Cam"... Make a pass, get close, get it wet, just don't run it over.
