When you get to the entrance to East Fork go left instead. Avalon is the next park down the road about 1/2 mile or so. They have a nice big ramp there. Could be silhouettes, that tiger refuge is right there.

avalon is open and ready, i'll drive out there at lunch and check on the courtesy dock avaliabity.


UPDATE: courtesy ramp is 4' out of the water.

yes, the ramp is good as gravy train with biscuit wheels. parking lot is huge and close. Back in the late 90's avalon was our hangout. we'd get there early and use the day use picnic tables west of the boat ramp in that cove, clay solid bottom.

NOTE: there is a large rock jetty 300yards west of the boat ramp that is about 6" to 1' underwater, usually there's a bouyee on it. right infront of the peninsula before the opening into east fork harbor. There used to be an old man in a float/fish tube that was always fishing on top of that structure if any of ya'll remember him.  anyhow, that's where the rocks are.
