It's warming up and I feel like I have a breath of fresh air. Pulled the boat out of storage and going to do a little work on it to get ready for the summer.


Still have to put my fuel lines on and a couple of other things. CAN'T WAIT!!


Where is the best place to get aluminum tubing? I have one of the old flat kites from the seventies. I need to replace a couple of the tubes. 1.250 dia and about 6 feet long... I haven't flown it for 25 or 30 years but I want to get it out this year. It will be something you all can laugh at me about when I crash it! Ha

aqua geek, tx19sbc or paul knows of a place in dallas to get aluminum supplies, i'm thinking it's called metal mart? I have ordered some odd sized stuff from aircraftspruce.com before.
Do you pull the kite behind your jetboat?

Yes. At least I am going to when I get it put back together. I also need a new sail. I flew it back in the seventies and eighties. You can see what I  am talking about if you get on YouTube and search for Ski Kite.

Metal Super Markets is a place to go in Dallas.  They have a website and I think you can order online they ship UPS or FedEx Ground.  I always go to their place in Dallas near downtown on a street named Dolton; the cross streets would be Irving Blvd and Service road for Stemmons.

I always like to go to their store and search the drop area; which they have nicely organized.  They sell their drop metal by the pound; come with cash for drop metal.

Gonna have crappy weather this weekend so if anyone wants to hang out and drink a few the Fridge Shop will be open all day on Sunday. I'll be there finishing up the Glastron and hopefully firing it up for the first time. Since all I have to do on the EFI motor is plug stuff in it shouldn't take too long. Then we can take to the cold beers.

Damn, I got to working on our neglected back yard and missed out. The weather was real nice late in the day too. Good thing is the dogs can't get out anymore if someone forgets to put the big rock in front of the gate.
