Lol....not saying I'm off the lake....I have a fishing boat that we use year round regardless of the weather. I'm not going to use the crusader though

I'm probably gonna winterize with a drop light on the cold nights this year. We had some very mild days last winter. I got some of the pink stuff and a funnel if it's looks to ever get below 20 for a couple of days.

I saw an ad for an automatic heater just yesterday that would go in the bilge and circulate warm air at a certain temp and shut off when it was as another temp.  Just keep it plugged in when in storage like the battery maintainer.

Darn solar panel would be at least good for maintaining the battery though if you have access to sunlight.

I'm pulling the batteries out tomorrow and will keep them in my garage. I'll top them off with a charge about once a month..... That's what I've always done with my boats during low usage periods.

I never put a charger on my chit, except a couple weeks ago when my alternator crapped out. Alternator is fixed now, so we drove it around for an afternoon and it's good to go. I'll maintain my battery by driving once a month.

EDIT: Found them. A drop light is WAY cheaper and works fine here in Texas. Them things put out serious heat for guys in places like Michigan.

Gonna be on the ramp at Collin Park on Sunday at 1 with the Glastron and a gas grill. Plan on bringing the small one but if enough peeps go I'll bring the big one. If the weather is nice, which it's supposed to be very nice, I'll put the boat in.

The north will have TWO lake parties this Sunday. Lavon and Steele Creek.

Filled it with gas yesterday and checked the oil, it looked good. Going across the lake over by the dam the oil pressure dropped and it started knocking. Shut er down and checked it out, no oil on the dip stick. Chad brought out a quart and it started and showed about 10psi of pressure. Limped it back the to trailer, by the time we got it by East Fork oil pressure was at zero, but still chuggin along at 2,400 rpm. Let it set an hour in the parking lot at the ramp. Checked the oil it was full... weird. Donnie was with me. He seems to think it was valve train noise.

That was a long ass ride with a big knock!
