Stoker kit for a right knee.

Well guys I j.ust got back from the leg Doc today and I have a problem. It seems thta my rod is too short. think.gif I had a problem last week when I got up out of a chair and my knee popped. I couldn't bend it straight or stand on it. Same thing happened sunday night. It seems that with this hinged knee that I have if I bend it more than 90 degrees the rod trys to pop out of the bottom of the leg. So now they have to make a specail rod for me and replace it. I will try to get this done in the fall. I need a summer so I can get in the water. It will take about 3 day hospital stay and plenty of therapy again. I joke with him when we first got there about a 30,000 mile check up before the warranty ran out. He joked back about the fine print 30 feet of 30 seconds is all I get. That will make 6 surgeries on this right knee. So now I am upgrading to a stoker kit, should be able to do something faster. Dam Bill , I am sorry to hear this .. Maybe they can put you in like a H - Beam rod or something to hold up better and have a better stroke to it ..

Sorry Buddy

Not good to hear. Prayers still going out your way. I think that if we did our jobs like alot of the doctors do, we wouldn't be working there long. Is this going to mess up your cruise? Hope not

Thanks guys. It's not really the doc's fault he has done good work on me. I am only the his 2nd case of this happening The problem comes when I swell in my legs the calve  area of my leg swells too much. When I bend the knee more than 90 degrees the rod trys to pop out on the lower leg. Now that I know what is causing the problem I just have to be careful when I get up out of a chair and extend the right leg out a little more than the other The replacement part has to be special made for my leg They will go in and just change the rod out. Still anyway I look at it , another cutting on that knee. That will make 6 times on the right knee. Now I have to try to talk the doc into let me have my summer and replace it in the fall. Cruise to Alaska is still on and I want to go to my 40 reunion in Aug. , plus we have 2 new jetsi's that I haven't been on yet. So I guess as long as in know how it happens , try to be careful to not make it happen. thanks again everyone Bill"cookieman"
