Steele Creek is not open at this time BUT THE RIVER IS, if you have never been to the Island it is time you made the trip. I will be checking this out moor this week but we can put in at Chisholm Trail now. We may be able to put in at Hams Creek eather way it is river time. The standard time the week end after Holiday. July the 11 or 12.

I might have to bring the ski boat .. It has a prop on it .. LOL .. Don't think I can make it with the Cole that far on it first trip to the water ..

I remember that one time we launch at Hamm Creek , it was cool .. It was you in your Yellow V-Drive , Paul in his Blown Hydro and Me and My Dad in my Cole .. It was cool coming out of that little creek .. I will try and make it .. Not sure yet if i will be able to make it or not .. Thanks for the offer to pull me , but I want to be under my own power if all possible .. Not sure i want to go that far on the first test run on the new engine ..

Damn would love to go but will be out of town in El Paso. Jetfest is the same weekend in Corpus. Just to be clear we are talking July 11th & 12th right?

I have some personal stuff I will be taking care of this weekend , so I am out .. If Steel Creek is open on the 18th . I would like to go and test the boat there if the water looks good .. So you guys have fun running up to the Island ..

I had a minor medical procedure done and getting in river water is not recommended for a short time.
It was scheduled for after the 4th, but I could have gone to the Waco races.
Nothing goes as planned.

Went to the island Sat. Had a great time. Water was great. Put in at Chisholm. Ramp was good. They were working on Ham creek park. Lots of debris in park. Hopefully be open by this weekend. If not, we will put in at chisholm. 5 dollars for boat ramp. I know that alot of the Lavon crew have never been to the island, or up river from Plowman, but anyone who has never been there before, this is a special boating place for me and my family and has been for over 20 yrs. hope to see you there this weekend. look for a bassboat with a blue RUDE outboard. SEE YOU THERE.
