Ya, I winterized her and put her up yesterday as a matter of fact.

I do have a plan B though. My 13' Boston Whaler doesn't require winterization as it is kept in my garage and it hasn't gone below 40F in there in the past 6 years. I'm taking the kiddo's fishing on Saturday or Sunday in the Whaler.

Going to College Station to my wifes parents. Big clan ( Aggies ) gathering. Be about two dozen people counting kids. I hope the Aggies beat the crap out of Texas University.

We regards to winterizing a motor, all I did was put stabilizer in the gas and change the oil and filter. What else do you all do? I plan on turning the motor over about once a month during the winter.

I pour a lil trans fluid down the intake, pull the water plugs on the side of the block, and fuel additive. Change the oil at first of summer so its fresh. Also I back the valves off. Just my usual winter dealeo.. :smile17:

I fog mine with fogging oil, change the oil and pump the pink antifreeze through it logs and all.  I do the anti freeze as much for corrosion prevention as for anti freeze.  I've heard tale of blocks rusting through over the years.  I tend to follow the ounce of prevention theories.
