TexasJet said:It was good to see everyone. :smile17: The lake is perfect with a little beach finally. It will probably drop more since there is no rain in the forcast for this week.
Be safe and have a great Memorial Week end where ever you float your boat!!!! :smile27:

Good to hand out with you. The Baja is awesome!
Thanks, not to bad for a family boat with a little ol' truck motor in it. :smile30: When I get my courage up I'd like to take a ride in yours. That's a beautiful boat for sure.

So I hear! Better not let you take Kristin for a ride!
We went out Sunday, and it was great weather and the lake was pretty calm. Had some problems with the Scarab, but between John and Skylers boat we were good.
We met Skyler Sat at a friends party, and he has a killer 71 Whaler, 17 footer. It was a party barge yesterday! jump.gif
Yeah Chris whats up with the boat? anything major?Patchman said:What kind of problem did you have on the boat? think.gif
He didn't make the cool kid roster for Bay City. Maybe next year he can try again! :smile16:ChryslerJet said:Yeah Chris whats up with the boat? anything major?Patchman said:What kind of problem did you have on the boat? think.gif
BTW you going to BCR this weekend?
scarabscs said:It was an electrical gremlin causing my drive to trim up past the trailer stop, uncontrollably. I took off with Kristin to make my first run around the lake and got up on plane and was letting all my fluids warm up. After about 2 minutes I noticed the boat felt loose. i figured I must have bumped the trim, so I lowered it back down. It did it again, and I said oh skeez.... we got problems!
At first I thought it was low battery voltage causing the electronics to go haywire, so i charged the battery for a few hours.
Still had the problem, so I started following all of my trim wiring and it all looked good. Fuses good, connections good.
Then I chased it up to the switches, and they were all connected good. Still had the problem.
After stewing on it all day I finally decided it was my "trailer" rocker switch for the trim. I think it got some water in it last time I washed the boat, and caused the switch to partially short. I whacked it a few times and it worked properly, so i was able to get the boat over to the trailer. It makes sense because my boat has a trim on the throttle, that allows me to trim to 50% up, and then i have to use the trailer switch to get it the remainder of the way up. Since the boat was automatically trimming to 100% Im pretty sure it was the trailer switch rather than regular trim switch.
Im going to replace the rocker switch, and keep my fingers crossed thats all it is!
Two wordsscarabscs said:Thanks. Im pretty sure that when I gave the boat its annual super douche washing that I got a little more water on the dash than I should have. :smile20: We will see!
