Just woke up to a clap of thunder. Went outside and everything was wet!! Haven't seen this stuff since early June around here.

it's so dry down here, the last time it rained anything substantial,  it didn't make a mud puddle  :smile25:

i think i have lost my Magnolia tree  :smile18:

Magnolias are tough Kona. How big is the tree?? Have you watered it at all??

Man, it's been raining steady since 530am this morning at the Crusader palace. We certainly do need the rain.

My neighbor lost his, said that the roots have to stay swampy just under the surface. No water around here for too long. Poor tree looks like it is a goner! :smile25:

it stands about 14 or 15 feet tall,  it went through a dry spell last year and then a really hard freeze,  and now this year,  and no i haven't,  with the trees i have around here,  i'd have to leave the hose running for the next six months....  crazy.gif

only reason i'm partial to the tree, is my grandmother had one in her backyard in Tulsa,  that stood over 50 feet tall,  it makes my think of her,  when ever it's bloomed  :smile18:
