Slight signs of SPRING!!

The power plants are still having troubles, called the plant this morning and they still havent been able to get back online. There's 1,000's of transmitters on these units and its hard to tell which ones are giving the problems. We have heat trace for water lines and steamlines but not the transmitters and indicators. Both our units are 12 stories tall and no windblocks, just the little bit of time they where down they said the waterwall water was trying to freeze. Having to leave the ignitors in just to keep the boiler thawed out. This weather sux.

And as far as the blackouts go, just guessing but I figure the ones that are on the same grid as hospitals, nursing homes, schools and such will not recieve the power outages.

havent had any prob with power out yet. But I know at work they turned all the gas off to the hangers so yea its cold as hell in the hanger  guess they are trying to save all they can

Just took a look at the weather.com website and now it's not supposed to get above freezing until Saturday. Man, a whole week of not goig above freezing sucks.

comment on a buddies post on facebook,  he's in New York,  talked about wanting to be at the beach, cause he's sick of the cold weather,  i told him it was 70* + weather here,  and the next thing i know winter hits with a vengeance,  :shocked:

I'm sure glad it didn't make it up here. :grin: I will try to make it to work for the first time sense Monday. They still haven't cleared the road by the house yet but I'm gonna give it a try any way. I hope I make it, I cant stand burning vacation days like this.
