I am going to be selling some parts PM if interested. Canfield heads, one is good one needs to be repaired (crack in water port), was quoted $400 to repair. $500 for good one $100 for the other.  You can have a set of good heads to $1000 ( I am running theses right now). One MSD dizzy for tall deck, two 7al boxes, two MSD Blasters. The only reason I am selling is going to a different style of heads and going with a Mag. If needing more info contact Disturbed (Tim), or Patchman (Steve) here on boards.

Dam I wish I could afford a Blower .. If I had one I might actually go fast enough to hurt myself .. OK - I will bite .. How much Henry and what all would I get , just the blower ??? It is set up for gas ??  I would have to build another engine because mine has too much compression at 10.22:1 for race gas  .. Not sure if that would be enough compression for Alcohol though .. I think it would be better if I would build my little 468 and put a blower on it .. That 8:71 would not be enough for my 601 that is in the boat now ..

The blower is stripped for gas but, we've been running alcohol through it.  It was on a 598 with no problems.  That 598 was a 9:1 engine running on race gas at first then injected ALKY.

Tim -- How much overdrive did you have to run to get the boost up ??  How much boost was you getting ??
Just the added item like  two Dominator carbs , lingage , lines  and blower kit will be another 4000.00 on top of the blower .. Hell I guess I can dream right ??
I don't need this at all , the engine Galen built for me is plenty for a lake boat and no blower .. But dam I love the blower sound ..
Don't you need this Tim for your upcoming engine ??

We're po boy racing.  No idea how much boost it makes.  No time for the driver to look at a boost gage and no data logging system.  crazy.gif

When it was on gas, there wasn't much boost.  (At least the ratio was down)  Now, we're running it 33.3% overdriven.

I'm getting an ALKY stripped blower.

Tim when we had that gauge on there when we ran gas wasn't it like 12# ?  I remember we had the gauge where we were not getting a full reading.  Plus we did not have a lot of pulley in it then either.

According to the BDS information, a 5% overdrive would get you about 8 or 9 lb. of boost with a 550 inch motor.
I do think BDS is a little over optimistic with their numbers however, but it's a ball park number.
Billy, with your compression e85 would be a piece of cake.

I cant afford it and all the other stuff to go with it .. I am HAPPY with the engine Galen built for me .. It will run with most of them that shows up at the River and it is natural aspirated and runs on 92 Octane .. jump.gif jump.gif jump.gif  E-85 is OK , but I don't really want to have to change a lot of stuff to run it .. First would be a belt driven fuel pump system to keep up with the demand of the E-85 .. Not worth it to me .. I am going to just enjoy my boat and have fun with the way I have it set up now .. I do need to change rudder stuffing box and have JJ weld my fuel tank and I will be ready for next spring ..
