motor on the back burner... i'm having a hell of a time finding colored wire,  without buying 500 feet

Standard electric packs wire in 20-25 foot rolls you should be able to get it at your local parts house.  As long as the wire you use is says it oil and gas resistant it is good enough it doesnt have to be the marine wire.  Its not like we take these boats off shore fore months at a time, the marine wire deal is just a gimic for the type of boating we do.

yes the auto parts places do have some colors,  red, black, white, green, but no purple or gray, or brown, or blue, or the right size,  you don't understand this is Bay City,  you cannot buy anything here

For wire, www.dallasavionics.com. Give them a call and ask for Clint.  Its a little more expensive than automotive wire but the quality and corrosion resistance is much higher.  When you go to the website, look under installation supplies.
