Admittedly, I don't know the first thing about fiberglass work, but that looks like some very nice work you're doing there. Almost makes me wanna tackle repairing my broken seat.... almost.

For something that's not going to be seen at all, that looks great!

Be sure to coat the top of those new stringers with a coat of resin too.

I had a couple runs in them from when I did the bottom of the stringers gonna get the DA out and knock them down before I give them a coat :smile16:

That's what I've been told. May take a look at it when I've got it apart for some other stuff. You are a little out of my neighborhood I believe.

Fixing that seat might lead to an entire floor and stringer replacement! I might know this first hand......lol..

You have me confused with some other red boat. No duct tape on my ride, not even in the tool bag. :cheesy:

crazy.gif I was rocking and rolling tonight and got to my last support something didn't look right so I poured a whiskey coke and stared at it for a minute trying to figure out where I went wrong... Now I have to decide to buy a belt sander, good thing they are only 50 bucks. Or rout a groove in the bottom of my floor....  clap.gif  dumbass!!! See the pic and the black line is how high the right side of the cross support is! Not sure if I can hit it w a grinder and make it look decent, and I am sure it would take me all day with a DA... Suggestions?

a belt sander and a very aggressive belt will do the job may need more than one belt....used a belt sander for that task many times... just a thought here, but I would try a sawzall or a jig saw to trim it down and then finish with a belt sander or a grinder, where I couldn't cut with a saw....

and if that don't work,  use a Rubber Biscuit....  :smile28: :smile29:
Sorry for this, Kona is a rubber biscuit! crazy.gif
Could you set the depth of your router and take off most of the material, then come back with a sander and knock down what ever is left :smile21:

A hand powered coping saw may work well too.  $.02

If you are still thinking on what to do, may be able to take care of that with a good wood chisel.... should help keep your sanding to a minimum, just smoothing the edges to clean it up... Let us know what you end up doing.
