I think I need an air horn. My horn button is broken.

Life jackets
First aid kit
NEW fire extinguisher
Throwable

Anything else?

You just need a noise making device.  It could be a whistle or a horn.  I don't see where a first aid kit is required.  The fire extinguisher must be marine.

First aide kids are not required.

If the noise making device is a whistle, it cannot have the ball in it.

USCG approved fire extinguisher

Just got off the phone with Rick.  I called him about something else.  He wanted me to post up and let everyone know that he is very confident that Cliff's friend did not use the ramp we are going to be using.  Rick did talk to Cliff's buddy in the Sea Ray but they used a different ramp.  Rick has been there all day and not one boat used the ramp we are going to be using.  I don't know that it matters but Rick wanted me to clear that up.

See ya'll in the morning.

Went and checked my fire extinguisher. No where on it does it say USCG or for marine use, but it is a class B or whatever. Anyway, I went to Walmart in the boating section and the marine fire extingusher has a boat on the box and that's about it. It was the exact same one I have in my boat now. It's a class B extinguisher that has the fuel and electrical symbols on it.

Ahh, the way I'm reading it, they tell you what markings are on a ASCG extinguisher, but the REQUIREMENT is quoted in this statement. "Fire extinguishers approved for motorboats are hand-portable, of either B (for gasoline, oil & grease fires) or BC (also extinguishes electrical fires) classification."

I guess I have a new class BC in my boat now. The box had a boat on it but no where on that thing is the statement "Marine Type USCG approved, Size .... Type ::::, 162.028/.../" although it does have the fuel and electrical symbols.

I think you're good to go.

I had to buy a new one for the whaler yesterday. Apparently the firing safety pin "fell out" somehow and when I went out to the boat yesterday morning before going to Lavon, there was fire extinguishing agent all over the boat!!

Replaced with a new one.

I got mine at Academy.  It has the USCG marking.  Not sure if it means anything but most of the marine extinguishers I have seen are white.  Most household are red.

Big fun today. I am beat. Hope everyone else got home safe.
How did your back hold up Matt?

Meh.  Should have taken the Ambassador.  I am feeling it a little today.  It won't keep me from doing anything but like memorial day I can tell I should not have done that.  Thanks for asking.

Well good thing you got some good drugs.  Too bad the new ride wasn't there yet.

Thanks for organizing this Rick.  Be sure to tell you friends we really appreciate them having us and we enjoyed having them come out to see the boats.
