He's a tough customer especially from a rolling start on the short track!
I believe he was in front at the 500-600' mark. I was a little over geared but his TX is quick. If he'd have been spraying I'm afraid I wouldn't have had a chance unless we were running a full 1/4 with the SDBA start.

When you talk about a rolling start, are you talking about flat in the water, but moving or 10-20 mph start?

Here's a video from one of the onboard passes. It's round robin style so I had just run so that's why I'm in front of the holding rope on this one. You can see the new prop tries to manhandle the boat a little at the hit.

Looks a little rough out there
You are correct Billy toward the end of the track going towards the shutdown area it was a little rough Saturday. Made me glad my boat is set up and on the heavier side. Lol

I'll tell ya that boat runs!
Thanks FL350, it’s not  too bad for a naturally aspirated  10:1 pump gas 489 IMO.

Hell mine squirt a pretty good rooster tail taking off and it is a V-Drive .. Oh well .. Maybe one of these days I will have a fast boat that does not have any rooster tail .. Unless I get me a Hydro , then bring on the big rooster tail .. ..
I like big rooster tail in the TFH boats

Billy, here's a sequence of one of my roost attempts.  :smile26:

Sorry Jim it's the best I can do with my minimal hp.
Dam Loren - when did you get a jet boat .. LOL Anyway- Boat looks good . That is what mine looks like taking off also ..

Last I checked Billy it had a prop under it. lol
Dam those props are shiny, that must be why you boat is so fast .. I just need to polish on my prop then ..
Curious - who won between you and Chop in that race ?
I did but Chop wasn't spraying, it was an na only class.

PS shiny is everything why do you think I do this? lol
The oil pan isn't polished or shiny crazy.gif

Ok since no one else will or can I will show ya'll how a jet runs. 1320, 1000, 660 standing start whatever any equivalent v-drive bring it. Now this is a little video of "Livewire" being driven by the Crew Chief not the real driver out at the lake just a little testing about half track pass.

But even if it would spank that ass WFO I guess you would just have to listen about how much faster it would be in a v drive?? 😜

Since I don't do Facebook, what's the latest on all the heavy money being layed down for some races at the Winter Nationals. I hear Robert Anderson (I think that's his name) is the dog to beat. He has a picklefork jetboat. I think I saw him at Rockin the Cove. Black boat with a front adjustable wing, looked like a real serious rig.

So what you're saying is that a squirt boat will out perform a vdrive given that the engines are identical, the boats weigh the same and, are set up to the particular hull's ultimate potential?

C'mon MAN!  LOL

(You can tell it's gonna be a cold one tonight!)

There's A LOT of smack talk going down over on fagbook about the whole event.  I'm thinking a whacker is gonna put the smack down unless there's some serious tuned up QE boats show up.  My $.02

Not bad but I don't think my little ME flat is ready to tackle TE jets yet......

That TE jet has the reins being held pretty tight to keep it in the TE class.  :smile30:

All it is a couple turns of the wrenches. I would like to go Winter Nats with it but we will see.
