There is a snowy owl hanging around Robertson Park @ Ray Hubbard.  Apparently they rarely travel this far south.

Just great....now the tree huggers are going to get it where Robertson park is a migratory route for this Owl and we'll no longer get to use the park.....perfect!

And you wont be able to use the lights since they seem to sit ont he light poles and the might not use them if the lights are on.

Well, they seem to be here because they over populated their area in the arctic, and since this isn't part of heir normal migratory pattern that would make them an invasive species so we should be able to shoot them.

Man you guys are harsh.  Personally I think the owl is cool.  If it weren't for the tree huggers you would be boating & swimming in a cesspool instead of a somewhat clean lake.

They will take the food source from our native species here in Texas and make them migrate. By shooting them we ARE tree huggers just taking care of our own!

Just saying though. In reality I don't even own a gun. A lot peeps find that amazing with me being a career Army guy.

Anyway, while they are pretty cool to see, they shouldn't be here.

Something that made a point of at the water board meeting last month. While the Zebra mussels are an invasive species, they are very efficient little water filters that do a great job of cleaning the water, but make a mess of everything else.

Yes,  It is amazing that you don't at least have an AR-15 rifle :smile16:  most of my ex military friends have one as it is close to what they carried in the service, just doesn't have the go fast switch.  :smile27:

My personal feeling is guns are for killing people. When you've had to do it, having a gun isn't so glamorous any longer. I got to shoot a Thompson in 2004 over in Iraq that we confiscated in Samara. I would own one of those just for the nostalgia of it. Got to blow a couple of mags through an AK also. That's about the most reliable, yet innacurate weapon ever made.
