Well.  It looks like the deal I was working fell through.  I thought I had a set of headers coming but the guy won't call me back.  I sent him an email last Monday and he responded pretty quickly.  I called and talked to him that day. He was going to get me some more pics.  That was a week ago and now he won't take my calls or respond to email or text.  Maybe something happened in his personal life.  I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until I hear from him.  Even if I do hear from him now I'll be worried about how long it would take him to ship them.  I know he is not worried about shipping because he sent all the other parts to GA.  I just wish he would take 2 seconds to respond.  You would think with something that odd he would be quick to respond to a buyer.  [/rant]

That sux man! Those headers would have helped give you that extra .6MPH you needed to break the 60mph mark!

Something may have come up, but since you have been in direct contact with him, seems kind of odd that he would not respond one way or another to let you know whats up. Maybe he sold 'em to somebody else & he don't want to fess up.

I dunno man, hope it turns out for you. I'm sure used Pontiac headers for a jetboat don't come up for sale very often. Keep my fingers crossed for ya!

Still gotta couple of things to sort out.
(1) better pictures
(2) Shipping
(3) payment method we are both comfortable with.

Anyone got friends or relative in NorCal?????  he said he is about an hour north of San Fran.

Hope to hear the Poncho roaring thru those headers by springtime. Oh wait, I'll be in front of you and not able to hear them.. LOL

Hopefully we'll both be ahead of CLiff.... Once he gets that 540 sorted out he'll be quick.

I will.  Hopefully I can make the deal work.  We'll see.  Those west coasters seem to work at a different rate pace the rest of the country.  Maybe I can get the deal done before Christmas.  If not it's no big deal.  My boat comes out of the hole so much faster than James he will never catch me anyway.

Another week gone by and still no pictures.  I don't think he is serious about selling them.  He mentioned he wanted me to pay with a money order as well.  Not sure I am comfortable with that.  I want some kind of recourse in case he decides not to ship them.  If I could just get him to shit or get off the pot I'd be happy.  This waiting is starting to wear me out.  Guess I just need to get over it.  :smile15:

Anyone know if the olds or small block chevy is a close port match?  Headers for those are a little easier to find used.  If they are close I could cut the flange off and replace it with a Pontiac flange.

If you know somebody who's good with a TIG any headers can be made to fit. Just add a Pontiac flange. Have to measure some bolt holes to see what's close. I did my Grand Prix exhaust with my MIG wire feed and it works great, but it's hidden under the car.
