If you ever happen to find yourself at Outlaw Rays in Crosby you have to try " chicken fried bacon "  jump.gif clap.gif I think I can hear my arteries hardening as I type  think.gif

The LS motor drew a lot of interest from everyone at the lake too . I had a handfull of people asking about that , even one old man at the ramp wondering about the distributor  :smile16:

I get it every time I'm on the water brother. Especially if we're parked somewhere with the hood up. I had a guy come up to me in Walmart a few weeks ago and ask me if I'm that guy with the LS boat on Lavon. I guess he saw it over Memorial Day weekend last May.

Lol , the old man cracked me up  :cheesy: he looked at it , then looked again and asked " what kinda motor is that , and where is the distributor ?"  Seemed like a really nice guy though .

I didn't really get to run it very long , but this thing uses almost no gas at all cruising around . We ran over to the beach , I made a few laps around by the beach , and we cruised back to the ramp AMD I probably only burned a few gallons of gas all together .

Here is another photo from the GOPRO , I didnt really take very many photos though . I do have a nice video I am trying to figure out how to upload though .

I can't seem to get the video to upload , not sure what the problem is . Forgot to mention we also chose a name for the Kona this week  :smile30: It will be called "Against the Grain"  jump.gif Seems kinda fitting with the LS motor and the woodgrain paint , not to mention I have never really been one to go along just to be going along  :smile17:

Glad it ran out good and I like the name but now that you have had it to the lake, are you tired of it and ready to sell it so you can start on the TX?

Nope , I want to sell the tx and just be happy with what I got for awhile  :smile30: the tx is tempting , but this one is ready to go to the water right now  jump.gif I will eventually do a lightweight hull with a badass LS motor in it , but this boat runs really good right now and I still have a shelf full of goodies for the motor that I haven't even touched yet . I don't even have a chip in the MSD , much less a custom tune . There is still a lot of power to be found in the setup in this little boat and it spins the A impeller 5k right now .

I just wanted to draw you back in so that it is not just me and CJ on the board that doesn't have their boat running yet!!!!!!

Lol , its not just yall . There are guys here who don't even own their own boats  :smile26: your boat will be awesome when you get done with it , I just wish you would  hurry.gif with it . I can't wait to see what you cam do with the paint on a flatty compared to the floating houses you usually paint  jump.gif

Yeah, these last couple of years have been pretty hectic for me. I have had too many other priorities that have consumed all my spare time that I was wanting to use on the boat. Things are beginning to smooth out a little now so hopefully I will be able to get back on it soon. I really don't want to go another summer boat less again. I have almost everything I need for it except time. That's what sucks!!!
