Pressure regulator ?

Thinking of installing a regulator/bypass on the inlet water to the engine and started scratchin my head on this one.

My question is - with the water regulated (by using a reg/bypass) at a constant psi no mater how many rpm's the pump is turning will the header t-valve still open??  The t-valve works off of pressure, pressure created by the pump pushing water threw the block - but start regulating that psi and I assume it wouldn't work?

Wanting to figure it out before I pull the trigger on this.  Any info would help,  appreciate it

The t-valve works in lower pressure than the bypass. The spring in the t/v is alot smaller than the bypass valve.I pressure tested one a long time ago and it started opening @ about 8 lbs.Lots of jets rigged like your talking about.

I bought my whole system from Performance Jet, one of the sponsors of Texas Hot Boats, and the pressure is set at 7 lbs. and my basset T valve works properly.
