Unfortunately Plowmans Park is closed indefinitely. I think there is a group getting together the 2nd weekend of October at kimball bend park.

Thanks for the info. Haven't been to Kimball Bend Park... I'll check it out. Do you know what prompted the closure of Plowmans?

It mite have something to do with the water re-allocation bill they are trying to pass! Plus I don't think the core has cared for us Boaters going there. Most of the time the grass wasn't even mowed.

The park had some major issues with water and electricity. The Corps of Engineers has pulled funding to the park. But yes they have never really liked us there anyway.

Still could be a destination, place to hang out. Being only accessible by boat can sometimes be a good thing.

Unless they fence it off or something 🙃

Army Corp lakes can be problematic, this one wouldn't be the first. To have them pull funding from the park sucks. Plowmans layout is close to ideal for us but I agree, they need to get on their mower and get it done. Regardless, and weather permitting, the yellow boat will be at Kimball Bend Park, October 10-12.
