i need me one of dem big motors!

How big would you like it, when do you want to start it, and what color do you want the block.  Want to stack stuff on the top of it, Inject it, or put a real set of carbs on it.... simple questions waiting on the check...... LOL

As I was always told, "The secret to speed is horsepower, and horsepower is a direct function of money".

aw so true. BUT just throwing money at a motor is no guarantee of the big dog power.  think.gif got to have a plan.
also remember even stock BIG BIG cubic inches will alway's put you way ahead of the game from the get go. :smile26:  NOW throw the right part's at it  and waho you are on the big dog porch.  :smile27:

just takes lots and lots of money.  crazy.gif  bling.gif  bling.gif

Although seldom seen and often heard, I do believe the pedigree of ye old Stealth motor will tend to show most folks how to truly succeed at "overkill" in the engine building business.  Like I said before, there is not one thing on, in, or bolted to my motor that says anything about Detroit.  Just Say'n.  We don't put out numbers, but let's just say 'slightly slim to 4 digits' at 5600.  Not too bad for a single carb cruiser.  :smile17:

:smile27: yep same here. only thing on it out of detroit is the blower case only. you want to build serious
power you pretty much have to go with aftermarket. to make the point put side by side a a chevy 454 block next to a dart pro block, and then look at the MAINS and the internal webbing-------then tell me what block is going to hold up to the really big power. you are right on letting out the power numbers. hell that cost money
that you put out sooooooooo  super secret. BESIDE'S  hp is just a number, now (TOURQUE) that is the BIG SECRET.  :smile17:  because after all is said and done  that is what will do the work. just saying.  think.gif

Just a teaser from my build for Project X
I sent my P51 heads and Victor intake to Chris Straub to work over and grind me a cam.
These are the flow numbers that will feed a 4.3 stroke 4.40 bore DOVE-A block. It will be topped with an 1150 cfm dominator set up for E-85.
I can't reveal the hull this is going in yet but hope to debut it before the end of the year.

Paul,
Chris knows what it's going in. He also told me what to expect from the combo but I'll wait for the dyno session to see. As soon as I finalize the deal then I'll downgrade the super secret rating.
I really wish I could take a couple weeks off for this but that Pete has been going through money like a wife who knows about your girlfriend.

Once you get it dialed in or off the Dyno , will you share you carb information with me . I am running E-85 in my 555 Chevy 13.5 to 1 compresion and still trying to get it dialed in . This weekend , hoping to get closer with the O2 sensors hooked up .

I have a BLP 1050 Domiantor flowing 1289 cfm with 132 jets in it .. Just like to see what some one else come up with for jet sizes ..

Sound like  a monster you are building ..

How very cool, I like to hear folks that actually know what a motor is about, "duh, i gots me a full race cam"... oh boy.... Really nice flow numbers, did you go ahead and CC the chambers and all that happy stuff?.. Prolly did just from the numbers.  Motors are all about perfection, the mo perfect the mo juice you get back from it.  This of course requires me to find somebody on the water, just so I can eyeball.  We are motor folks, nobody ever said we knew what we were doing with boats...... LOL... Gonna try to be on the water Sat.  We will see, going to be very hot.  May all your plugs fire!!

I'll be more than happy to share. Chris is doing my grind for E-85. He said it will work with race gas but not as well as the E-85. I am also at 13-1. Have you looked at raceone85.com? Some good info and help over there.

I don't know much about building big HP engines, what I do know is people who do. I drive them crazy asking questions and prying their secrets from them. There are alot of people involved in this build, I supply the money and they supply the knowledge, machine work and parts.
Kenny in Dogwood city is letting me build it in his shop even though I take alot of abuse from him for building a Ford in a chevy shop.
I look forward to seeing you on the lake one of these days.

I take all that "on the water" biz back;  the weather says 5-10 MPH south winds and 101... Excuse me?.. 101?  with a heat index of 110?.. I think ol' stealth will sit on the deck and have an adult beverage.  Maybe very late Saturday evening for a 5-10 gallon hum.... dang it.  Yea, my motor only has about 12 hours on it and I simply can't seem to find days to get out there and play.  We will just have to keep on trying.
