Somebody musta fell and hit their head.  Sending me a PM and text messages with no explanation as to why you're hating on me.  Might want to re-think dumb shit like that.  Just sayin...

You know who you are.

I don't know WTF is going on.  Somehow, I've been drug into it.  NO idea why.  NO explanation.  I've been driving most of the day.  Just got home less than an hour ago.  Going to bed.  Gotta do it all over again tomorrow.

I fail to see how anybody around here could be drug into anything regarding this trailer inspection jibber jabber. Maybe it will make more sense in the morning, I'm out for the evening. Hey, don't be writing any new laws in the meantime, mmk? :cheesy:

Sounds like you're just as clueless as me.  LOL
I'm still in the dark.  Sun is up.

Most of us with out 18'-21' jet boats and Vdrives don't need an inspection now and won't need one in the near future.

I would think the same thing. If I understand it correctly, its gonna fall back on the registered GVW. Under 4500 lbs. = no inspection...

That's my take on it too.

For S and G's. I might just take my boat and trailer to the scales and spend a buck on weighing it.

Also those trailers that require an inspection must also have brakes too....oh and a lit license plate....both of which I do not have.

Couldn't hurt, but if you have an old registration renewal receipt, it will have the weight info of the trailer printed on there. Will have the trailers empty weight, the carrying capacity, & the gross weight. That should be in the state's database(?) & where I'd think it would be determined whether you are required to have the inspection done or not.

You might wanna put a light on your license plate anyway, thats just asking to get pulled over as it is, if leaving the lake in the evening time.

License plate light is required with a plate.  A quick little led light will suffice if you plate is not under the tail lights that have a plate light on them.

I've never had mine inspected since I bought it back in 1999.

That reminds me .....I think I need new plates ...2004 is kinda pushing my luck

I put new plate light on but plate mounted so low under fender cop have to stand on his head to see it.  I did fail to put a light bar across rear back on when had painted and went to LED lights.

that and have one safety chain on one side..... not 2 one on each side........ guess I have work to get flat legal? oh well they wont come look in my garage and write me a ticket.
