New to me single carb intake

I know it's suppose to hold in heat but My cuz wants to powdercoat the single 4 intake a friend gave me to put on my tx. It will look lots better!! I'll try and post pics when he is done.

I know Chrome does but never heard that paint keeps the heat in nor powder coating.

I doubt you would see any difference on most of the motors around here .

THE FUEL THAT GOES THROUG IT COOL THE INTAKE. HOT OIL WILL HEAT UP THE BOTOM. IS IT A AIR GAP MANIFOLD? A COATING ON THE BOTOM MITE HELP. THER IS A HEAT BARIOR COATING FOR THAT.
