what is the difference between a jet-o-vator and a place diverter?

would it be a bad idea to install a tower on a 17' jet boat?

what about a tall ski pylon?

i want to have more "lift" while being towed with my airchair... and i want to attempt the trick where the boat turns sharp inside and the skiier goes around the boat on the outside.

Jet o vaters were the OE trim device form Berkeley. They don't make them anymore and parts are hard to find. Place diverter is the aftermarket unit still in production with a full line of replacement parts. Place diverters are good pieces.

I personally wouldn't put a tower on a jet boat but it's your boat, if it's something you want to try go for it. I would try to fab removable ski pylon so it could be taken down when not in use, keep all the inside room available. JMO

I know the trick you are talkin bout, Don't think doing it with a Jet is the way to go, you need to be behind something with dig-in turning power, a Jet will slide out, we could pull it off behind a Mastercraft but no other Boat would do the dig and get back out fast enough.

i dont think it can be done with a slolom ski... however i do think it can be done with the airchair... we almost had it pulled off even without a pylon, but the rope tries to decapitate my driver, so i just need the rope at a higher vantage point.

im gonna try and make it happen :D im stoked...  id rather have a pylon anyway- the tower is too bulky and un-necessary in my opinion.

Be careful, Have Fun and Good Luck.  I agree on the Removable Ski Pylon option.  I have thought about putting one in the CJ.

It happens pretty often.  The best build I can think of is Tintman's..  I'll see if I can find it and bump it up for you.

Look through the boat projects section . Lots of people have completely rebuilt their boats . About the only thing I haven't done on mine is stringers and transom , because they were new when I got the boat . My next project needs a total  rebuild .

it is a addiction  new paint  new moter more  bling.gif  hot boats cost $$$$$ speed cost money
my grandad told how fast can you afford to go hope i can keep this somewhere around real mad
and sleeping on the sofa

I would stay away from the tower.  I have seen jet boat with a tower and they don't look good.  Here is a picture of one.
