BTW the way a tire ize breask down is the first number is the tread width in millimeters the second is a percentage that the sidewall hieght is to the tread width and the third is the rim size. so a 195/70-14 is a tire with a tread width of 195 mm a sidewall height of 136.5mm (195*.70) and a rim size of 14 inches. If you change any of them it will change the height of the tire. A 195/70-15 will be an inch taller tire because of the extra inch in the rim size. The tread width and sidewall height are unchanged. If you increase the tread width you automatically increase the sidewall height unless that number is adjusted as well thats why typically you will see larger tread width tires with smaller sidewall percentages to keep the overall ride height about the same so a typical replacement tire for 195/70-14 is a 205/65-14 which has about a 3mm smaller sidewall or a 215/65-14 which has about a 3mm larger sidewall. The Tires Dman has are wider and taller than the ones you have on there now if they are 195/70-14. Let me know if that's clear as mud.

Trailer tires are rated for heavier individual loads and not as much handling aspects. they have stronger sidewalls too. I have always used car tires without a problem as long as you dont overload them.KONA said:

Well I can assure you that when they go, I would rather have a bias ply disintegrate on my trailer than a steel belted tear everything up. That has happened, and I can vouch for the difference in damage! :smile30: I am aware of both existing, but I like carlisle for the trailer tires!
