What year Vette?  I had a Red 76 L-82 4 speed.  It looked good but it was a pile.  I was glad to get rid of that one.

I had a 1982....last year with the four barrel on the 350cid and turbo 400 transmition. It was kind of anemic at 180hp. I loved it, scored a ton of chicks and mine ran pretty well.

That was a cool body style.  Same as my 76 but mine had the flat back window.  The L-82 in mine had been warmed over.  it was actually pretty quick when it would start.

And it's 1/4 mile.  I have not been either.  We need to go check it out.  maybe a test and tune night with your Z and Jame's GTP.  Could start him on another quest to be faster.  :smile26:

Noo, the GTP is just fine where it's at.. No quest going on there. When I used to take it to Temple, it would run 14.63 - 14.64 all day. The only way to beat that car in a handicap race was at the christmas tree.

When I went to the doc last Wednesday...... 219 on the scale.. UGH!

Those scales lie.  When I went last week it said I was 195.  That is 10 #'s heavier than the time before.  I had my coat, wallet phone, jeans, boots and keys on me and I just ate lunch.  Last time it was just shorts and a t-shirt.

Scratch that.. go 73 or earlier Stingray Vette with the chrome bumpers, then put a hitch on it to pull the 70's boat around while listening to Zapp's More Bounce To The Ounce on 8-track... This Vette would look killer in blue glitter...

I'd go earlier than that so you have the chrome bumpers front and rear.  73 is an odd year IMO.  Metal bumper on the rear urethane bumper on the front.

I've been to the cup races at Darlington, Lowes Motor Speedway and a bunch at Phoenix. Haven't been to one here yet but it's definitely a great time no matter what track you go to.

If you ever get a chance to see the big boys of drag racing at Ennis, that's a show worth going to also. You will never see, hear, or feel anything like the power of fuel dragster going by pushing like 4,000 horsepower.

I like personally the NASCAR events better, but you have see an NHRA event also sometime. Plus, at an NHRA event you get to go into the pits.

Well Cliff I live about 10min from Redline but it seems like they dont have as many fast cars as they use to since Dallas raceway opened.  But they still pack out on a good night.  Dallas Raceway is very nice they run Pro Mod national there.  My little BIG BROTHER use to work for John Force race team on Ashley Car  he said when they stand behind them when they take off from the light. That your body will get pulled forward.  THATS HORSE POWER would love to get one of those motors in a BOAT.  Yea I would say that was prob the wrong thing to say to her Cliff LOL . Amy trys to get rid of that baby gut but she just cant swing it. But its hard to do when your on the couch SHHHHHHH LMAO!!!!  My fav yr vett would have to be 1967 427 convertable with the big gas filler lid..
